A central part of Flexlaw’s employment law service is to assist in the negotiation of severance packages. Where an employee is offered a severance package we can give expert advice on whether or not the severance package being offered is satisfactory and reasonable. This is important as such packages often come to be considered and negotiated when one or both parties to the employment contract conclude that the employment relationship should end, and that this end should carry with it financial provision for the employee. Such financial provision can often be substantial and this is why it pays to take expert advice during negotiations and completion.
