Child Law

Children (defined as someone under the age of 16 in Scotland) and questions surrounding their upbringing and care often lead to disputes before, during and subsequent to relationships falling into difficulties. We can advise parents and other relatives of their rights under the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 to include “section 11” court orders to govern parental responsibilities. In addition, we can give advice on the Child Support Act 1991 and the provision of financial support for children.
